I would of given this 5 Stars based on the creativity of this writer but how these Gods talked did not make sense. They are over thousands of years old and sound like idiots. Calling her baby girl and baby, just did not sound right coming from a being older than Earth. I enjoyed the story very much and this book is smoking at times but again I could not get past some of the language. I did need to reference the glossary at the beginning but not too much. I also liked the set up of future characters. I will definitely dive into the next book.Product details

I had read a few books by N. Isabelle Blanco before and enjoyed the darkness that she is capable of bringing to a story. Blood Flows Deep intrigued me because it is more of a fantasy than her other books. I thought that the premise was interesting in that Ismini is a sacrifice for a god and she is aware of that fact. When I read that I wondered what would drive a person like that and how could they be okay with that. The author was able to write such a compelling book with a sacrifice mated to her own killer and vice versa. I knew that I had to read this story to find out how it progresses.
I loved the tension between the two main characters. It seemed so natural and I thought that the emotional turmoil that they both go through is portrayed really well. As far as characters go, I connected much more with Ismini than I did with Dyletri. He seemed very childish and entitled at times which annoyed me.
All in all I really enjoyed the book. The only critique that I would give would be more world building. I feel like I was dumped into a world that I didn't completely understand. I was aware that there was bad blood between some of the gods resulting in betrayal and bloodshed but didn't understand much else about it.
An amazing paranormal read, a very unique plot.
Dyletry, the God of Fertility, made a vow after the death of his lover. He put aside his powers and made a promise to kill a new soul in exchange for the chance to let his lover live again.
After waiting thousands of years, the time comes, a girl named Ismini is to the sacrifice. But Dyletry is confused, he feels a strong attraction and deep lust for her, also he’s now seen all her memories and her life.....Can he go ahead with his plan? Is that really what he wants?
Ismini has always known her fate. She was to be sacrificed so a God could be reunited with his one true love again. The fates were set, to go against them would bring universal destruction. So Ismini excepted her lot.
Until she meets the man who has haunted her dreams, she’s waited for him and now they’ve met, and can’t help feeling strongly attracted to him. Can there be more for them?
The story was captivating and as it continued, enthralling. The characters were very well thought out and developed. Isimini was a heroine who had terrific strengths...taking her life for what it was, no sad sacks, or sulks, she tried to see the best out come of everything, and had plenty of grit.
A real page turner, fast paced and highly entertaining. A great read!
Over 14,000 years ago Dimithinia was hearing voices that told her to kill but the gods did not approve of what she did and punished her by flooding her lands and killing her people.
In the current time Dyletri wants to bring back Dimithinia and needs a human sacrifice and the powers that be have chosen Ismini as the one for him. But when he rescues her from two men chasing her he realizes that he is drawn to her in a way he has never been drawn to anyone before.
Will Dyletri be able to use Ismini as a sacrifice or do the gods have other plans for them?
This was an interesting read that I found somewhat difficult to get into as I was trying to figure out who was who is past lives and how everyone was intertwined. One part that I found confusing was that Dyletri was once Salicyar until he was betrayed by the Aviraji and he became Dyletri.
Ismini was a tough girl who was almost used as a pawn and I couldn't figure out why Enteax and Lisrin knew right from the beginning that she was the one that Dyletri was after. But they didn't give up and some not good things happened because of it.
I liked that Dyletri and Ismini were able to act on their feelings and figure out what they meant to each other. The role of Nylicia was interesting and I found myself very intrigued by her and what she could do.
I liked the ending and the change in Ismini and I wonder if the same thing will happen with her best friend, Evesse.

There is a ton going on in this book lots of characters with twists and turns and a lot to keep up with it can be a little much however it’s a great read with a pretty original paranormal storyline
Loved the twist on God and Goddess! It was so good I couldn't wait to read the next chapter to see what would happen next! So excited to read the next book!
Omg this book had me hooked fast. It was amazing and action packed. I loved the world building and the humor. I adored the strong women who didn't let anything get in their way. It is complicated, but there's a great glossary in the front that helps. I'm in 100% and going on to book 2 NOW at 5am!
