I love Destry and Tallan!!! The book is written in Destry's point of view, but you still get how strong of a person Tallan is. I love how Shey showed the dynamic of their relationship without adding a bunch of drama!! There aren't any stupid misunderstandings or irrational arguments. Tallan doesn't put up with the fame of women or the predictable women trying to break them up! I love it!!! Destry is a big teddy bear!! He's a closet romantic!"Falling for anyone was the east part. I can't say enough good things about this book! I've been waiting a while for this one and I finally got closure from the cliffhanger we were left with at the end of The Trainer! And Destry, that poor guy. Loved him and Tallan even more in this book!! Another great book by Shey!
I have been waiting for a year for this book and it didn't disappoint! Destey had my heart from the first book and it only got better in this book. I loved how we see his struggles and his triumphs. I also appreciate that Tallon is a strong female lead character. Sad there are only two books in the series, I could go for a few more rounds of these two!
I just absolutely loved this book. The Trainer is the first book in the serious and that's when we get introduced into Destry and Tallan. There chemistry is great and you think wow all is good until the end then BAM what a cliffy then thats where The Fighter comes in picks right up after the Trainer and it doesn't lag on the reason why Destry is in jail. It gets straight to the point and Destry and Tallans story continues which has the perfect ending. Must read both books!
Wow! What a ride this series takes you through....Destry is hot ladies and Fallan is spunky and funny!! This series has all the right combinations I look for in a great fighter book! I will do a reread in the near future. Shey is one in my top 5 favorite authors and is automatically a 1click!
If your looking for hot sexy fighter, in depth detail how to throw a great punch, learn a thing or 2 for some sexy time then this book is for you!!!
While the story line was brilliant and drew you in from almost the first page, and the main characters were quite well developed, the spelling and grammar was a little frustrating! There were so many parts where I actually cracked up, yet there were so many sections I had to try and re-read to try and make sense of. The restaurant scene right before the fight started with so much intensity, but it lost the plot, repeated sections, lost timelines, and in trying to follow it completely lost its effect, Destry slid his trainer 2 feet across the floor yet he was still face to face with Lucas, Tallen was there with him, but then she ran up to him?
All in all the series was well worth the read, a page turner I couldn't put down and I'd happily read again, I'm just frustrated almost feel ripped off not experiencing the full depth of some of the scenes...
What would you do if you lost what you valued most in your life? Destry Stone is determined to find redemption for not only his title loss, but his personal life as well. The Fighter takes you through Destry's training as he comes to terms with everything that is happening in his life, as well, with the help of his new girlfriend Tallan, who stole our hearts in The Trainer.
This is a beautifully written story and you will no doubt fall in love with Destry. He is hot alpha male with a heart of gold!! Well done Ms. Stahl!!
I liked the Trainer, and then I had to wait for the Fighter I was so not happy about that.
I loved the Fighter, I loved Destry in the Trainer, so having the Fighter be all from his POV was perfect because that was what was missing for me in the first book.
And with the ending of Trainer, I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy where the story would go... but I did, and I loved that the story didn't become contrived or get bogged down in needless self inflicted conflict.
Shey Stahl is becoming one of my go to authors for good stories
